Member of the Month Larry Leighty
Larry has worked extra hard to get his name on the board by working out 16x in a month. That is why we think he deserves to be this month’s Member of the Month and on the Wall of Fame at the gym. See how he made it!
Lacon Fitness and Tan: How long have you been working out and how did you get into it?
Larry: My friend Charlie and I came in to check out the gym 4 years ago. I decided to start working out than and was trained by Amanda. I took a break for a year Then Charlie and I began personal training with Diane and Amanda 1.5 years ago. I decided to rejoin the gym in April of this year.
LFT: What motivates you to workout so often?
Larry: I want to improve my general health.
LFT: Last month you made it on the board but you had to do 2 workouts a day a couple of times. What pushed you to get here twice a day?
Larry: I really wanted to be on the board.
LFT: Cardio vs. Strength which is your favorite?
I like the strength machines
LFT: What is your favorite exercise?
Larry: The leg press
LFT: What is your least favorite exercise?
Larry: I don’t have any.
LFT: When you aren’t working or at the gym, what do you like to do for fun?
Larry: I like to go out to eat at Capponi’s.
LFT: What is your favorite thing about Lacon Fitness and Tan?
Larry: I like talking to Amanda and the rest of the staff.
LFT: What is something people would be surprised to learn about you?
Larry: I have traveled to Africa, France, Italy, England, and Germany.
LFT: What is your favorite “cheat food”?
Larry: Bread and olive oil from Capponi’s
LFT: What advice do you have for other gym members?
Larry: Just keep coming to the gym. Make it fun.
